Metrilog has the technology and the know-how to help you implement M2M applications. Metrilog provides a M2M platform that encompasses the entire telemetry/telecontrol chain, from the remote units up to the final application.

Metrilog's platform is based on established standards, starting from the RTU's interfaces up to standardized data collection, storage and delivery through the M2M Gateway. Although we generally prefer using standard technologies, we will also support implementation of proprietary technologies on demand.

Metrilog Remote Terminal Unit

M717 and T707 also known as RTU (remote terminal unit) are used to collect data from different devices or sensors, store them into their internal memory, and automatically deliver collected data to the central gateway.

Data transmission is exclusively done by SIM cards that are already built-in during production. Cooperation with different network operators all over the world enables us to operate the units in almost any region worldwide.

M512

The 3-Way Analog Adapter model M512C is designed for the use in SDI-12 bus systems. It converts several analog, pulse and digital inputs to the SDI-12 bus protocol and specification.

With the M512C you can connect:
  •  up to 3 analog sensors with output ranges of 0 to 1V, 0 to 1.25, 0 to 2.5V or 0 to 5V (individually programmable) AND
  •  up to 2 pulse counters (32 bit) OR
  •  up to 2 frequency counters (5 kHz max), OR
  •  up to 2 digital inputs (state sense).

The adapter conforms to the SDI-12 bus specification version 1.3. For additional information on the SDI-12 bus, please download the following document: 'SDI-12, A Serial-Digital Interface Standard for Microprocessor-Based Sensors, Version 1.3' or visit SDI-12 Support Group’s web site at www.sdi-12.org.

While the physical connetion to the bus can be configured either for native SDI-12 signaling or RS-485, the protocol employed is always SDI-12.

The M512 adaptor is available in slightly different variations and can be customized to suit your individual needs or bus systems.

T110

Designed specifically for the SDI-12 bus, the T110 power supply can be used in applications where power supply is not available. The T110 power supply includes a robust, maintenance free lead-acid battery and a controller to assist the battery charge. In addition, the power supply is itself an SDI-12 node on the bus, delivering battery status information to the SDI-12 data logger.

The power to charge the battery is obtained typically from a solar panel, but any current limited source can be used.
